I found this e-book called Telling Pieces: Art As Literacy in Middle School Classes , it talks about art in schools and how it affects the lives of the students. It also has great examples of famous modern artists who used pictures they drew/painted as children as inspiration. Schools today are not as focused on arts which in return keeps children from making inspirational art work that could inspire greatness in their futures. I find this problematic. What we should do about it, that is the question.
